UK D&D Tweetup Declared a Success
…. by me, and doubtless by the countless others who attended. The sound of laughter (and screams, but mainly laughter) came from each table as the games ran. If that’s not a measure of success, I don’t know what is.
We turned up rather later than planned – getting lost in Nottingham is particularly embarassing because I worked there for many years – and I was immediately invited to join Chris from 6d6 Fireball‘s self-penned 6d6 RPG. I heartily recommend it. I played The Tallest Gnome in The World, and together with a Half-Elf Ranger (who my cowardly gnome kept prompting to go first), a kickass Rakshasa Monk and a Human Chain Fighter we managed to escape Savage Isle with the help of some friendly Girallon Natives.
The thanks are many and varied, not least to Mondo Comico for letting a huge group of gamers assault the place, @blindgeekuk for his frankly astonishing organizational skills (and for being such a great guy), and @symatt for the warm welcome. Being able to put names to faces means a lot in a game we share and enthuse about virtually.
Lastly, a huge thank you to all who took part in the raffle and kindly donated the proceeds to Christa‘s Red Nose Day appeal. That means more than words can say.
Thank you, all.
Here’s to next time!
