Endday, part four
The Endday campaign is nothing without characters. They are, after all, who the story is about. They’re the guys and gals that are on camera, all the time; they’re the centre of the action, and get top billing on the movie poster. If the campaign was a movie. And it had a poster.
As this is set in the modern day real world, the only race available at the start of the campaign is Human. Any legal array (as listed in the Character Builder) can be used for attributes. Any class can be selected, though the character doesn’t get his Powers until part-way through the first scenario. Until then, the character only has attributes, skills, basic attacks and any feats which to not grant or modify Powers.
Take a Background Option which best reflects your backstory – either a modern day Occupation (and gain a modern day skill as a Class Skill), a Society background (Poor, Rich, etc) or any other that may be appropriate to represent your life before the campaign begins.
Select modern-day equipment as appropriate for your character (a leather jacket counts as leather armour), along with any (non-magical) ancient weaponry, armour or equipment you would like them to gain in the first scenario. In other words, if you’d like your character to get access to a crossbow, put it down!
But enough of that. Meet Jake Lawless.
Before September 1st, Jake Lawless was a grifter, moving from place to place in search of work. He’s not proud of everything he’s done in the past, and a part of him thinks the demons he faces are reflections of his own sinful past. Or maybe that’s his Catholic upbringing talking. Either way he’s got faith in himself, and a faith that there’s more to life than this. There has to be, right?
