When young Tony Wayne’s father was gunned down by a faceless crook, he inherited a technological empire worth billions. Unfortunately, he also inherited a congential heart condition and the shock of witnessing the killing put young Tony in hospital for many months. It was during his convalescence that he saw a tiny bat trying to find it’s way out of the window of the ward.

Tony knew how that bat felt; small, trapped and alone.

He swore he would never feel this way again. He would use his fathers’ technology and his own raw intelligence to be something more, much more – a Bat made of Iron!

Dirty little secret: Tony Wayne is an obsessive compulsive alcoholic with a heart condition and a damaged spine. Seriously, he’s screwed.
