Aid Another, DC10

In some ways, the RPG Bloggers Network is like a family – except it’s probably less dysfunctional than most. There’s Mom and Dad, a horde of screaming kids (you know who you are) – and everyone’s favourite Uncle. His name’s Berin.

Many of you might not know it, but Uncle Bear is That Guy. He’s the one who quietly potters along in the background (ok, sometimes not so quietly) and Makes Things Happen. Without Berin it’s likely there’d be no RPG Bloggers Network and the entire online RPG community would be infinitely poorer overall. Yeh, he’s That Guy. He is, without a doubt, one of the nicest guys you’ll never meet.

So anyhow. Fate has rather conspired against our Berin in recent months, and he needs our help.

Chris at 6d6fireball has already written about the best way you can help Berin out – head over to, click the Donate button in the top left corner and throw a some dollars (or pounds, or yen) into the pot.

Over the next few days I’m going to create a collection of high-resolution renders (1280×960) that will cover each character class from the PHB, with a second set covering the ones from PHB2 to follow. You can use these images however you want, including for commercial projects. I’ll be selling these packs for just $4 each, and all proceeds will go to Berin.

I know he’d be the first to claim there’s far more deserving causes, but this is different.

We’re not giving, we’re giving back.

Thank you, Berin.

Great Idea. I’m thinking that we need to collect the links to all these help Berin posts in one spot

That’s a great description of the RPG bloggers network, and I love how chatty is the mom! ^^

If It wouldn’t take too long, maybe someone could whip together an Uncle Sam “I NEED YOU” type poster to pass around. (I’d do it, but I have no artistic talent at all… /cry)

Now if you excuse me, I need to go search the couch cushions for something to donate…
