Comments on DoctorWhoChristmasSpecial: Would be even nicer if BBC could open that player for ppl outside the country. I know my son was anxious to watch it yesterday, but he can't :(
I liked the new variation on the theme music – and the robots reminded me of the ones in an old Tom Baker story called Robots of Death which is probably a story that had a big impact on me as a kid as I found them particularly menacing!
I just need to find big versions of the pictures from the Kylie & Dalek photo shoot now!

I noticed the change in the music too. It’s almost as if the drums have gone (d-d-d-DUM!) now that the Master has gone (at least, for now).
It ticked all the boxes for me, and then some. Action, adventure, great lines and funny stares into the camera from the Doctor, t’riffic acting from Kylie (who would have thought?) and a mad bad villain. It was MUCH better thn last years’ Christmas episode and managed to hit the line between childish excitement and adult plotlines in the way only Doctor Who could. The frission between the Doctor and Astrid was spot on too.
And the trailers which followed……. I caught lots of UNIT (yay!), Sontarans (yay!), new villains and the Ood making a return, possibly in Torchwood too. I can’t wait
