Comments on Lincoln Out Of Time

Out of interest, what music does everyone listen to these days?
Or whats your favourite artist.

The reason I ask, I’m bored with what I listen tom and am wanting to try something new, as I’m open to anything.

Don’t include stuff like, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Gun ‘n’ Roses, any DJ “xxxwhateverxxx”, Scissor sisters etc or owt that falls into the categories of;
Thrash/Death/Heavy metal,
Trance/Dance/Techno/Gabba/New Style/House/Drum and Bass,
Pop/Europop

Have I left anything to actually choose from?
I’m being too picky I guess…

Anyways, let me know…
Cheers

Lemme see….if you knock out the list you’ve already given, you’re left with…..um…..The Carpenters :)

I’ve been listening to The Ramones, Killers, Kasabian, early REM, Coldplay, lots of old Blues and anything that an iPod on shuffle with 3,000-odd tracks dredges up. Tht covers a lot of ground :)

I suggest going to http://last.fm and filling in a list of what you like. That’ll start streaming music that it also thinks you’ll like, and it usually gets it about right in unexpected ways. Stick with it as it might take a while to “teach” it what you want to hear – and teach yourself what you really do like and dislike along the way.

REM, that brings back memories…
I have a few of their songs, “Its the end of the world as we know it”, “Everybody hurts” thats my fav me tinks.

Coldplay, again, only like a few of theirs…

Will try that site, see what crops up…
ta!

I listen to a lot of Arabic & Persian music. There’s an excellent Persian Internet radio on Shoutcast. I also enjoy a lot of Latino music. Again, Internet radio on Shoutcast will get you started. I find that sites like Pandora, Last.fm, or iLike will not have a lot of the music I like. :)

The stuff I listen to at iLike is most up to do. Yes, yesterday I listened to a lot of Eminem and Missy Eliot.

I also like Indie Pop Rocks on Soma FM. More Internet Radio… Big Up Radio with some Reggae! Or PerreoRadio – 100% Reggaeton.

There are some good Internet Radio stations. What I like to do is search for music I like at Shoutcast. That finds the stations that are playing it right now. And then I just let myself be surprised by anything else they might be playing. :)

Get Streamripper and use it to extract MP3 files from Internet Radio!

Hi,

Great photo,
The question about musical tastes interest me. Just thought I would add some suggestions you may not have come accross. I love to collect all sorts of music. But I have a particular fondness for classical fusion. If you don’t know what I mean have a look at a list I made at Amazon that kinda illustrates this genre of music.

If you like classical fusion, I suggest Ed Allenye Johnson. Utterly amazing violinist. No, seriously.

As it says in the link above:

If Hendrix had played violin this would have been the result.
